Art-Class
Creative Expression & Colombian Culture
The Art Class program at CAMI is a space designed to explore creativity, strengthen cultural identity, and promote emotional well-being through diverse artistic and craft expressions inspired by the richness of Colombian culture.
Our goal is to provide a place where participants can socialize, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve overall well-being, all while developing new creative skills. This program is open both to newcomers adapting to life in Canada and to community members already established in the city, offering a welcoming environment for cultural exchange and connection.
In these classes, you will explore activities that go beyond traditional painting:
🖌️ Drawing & Painting – bring your imagination to life on canvas.
🏺 Ceramics – shape unique pieces with your own hands.
🧵 Weaving & Sewing – connect with both traditional and modern techniques.
💍 Handmade Jewelry – transform materials into personal expressions.
✂️ Creative Crafts – design and create handmade objects with cultural identity.
Each session is not only about learning techniques but also about offering a safe and welcoming space to connect with yourself, with others, and with our cultural roots. At CAMI, we believe art is a powerful tool for self-expression, sharing, and building community.
